Taxation Specialist (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

• Assist the accounting team with the VAT review of the transactions (e.g., month-end closing)
• Lead the information gathering and submissions to external advisors for the preparation of the VAT returns and filings
• Assist with the monitoring of import VAT obligations and deadlines (e.g. in context of importing goods in EU)
• Coordinate VAT payments with the accounting Team
• Assistance in ensuring compliance with the VAT requirements in the countries with a smart legal entity as well as consulting our internal business units on VAT-related issues

Your profile:

• You have successfully completed your university degree in economics or law with a special focus on taxation, international trade, and/or a graduate degree in finance
• You have at least 3 years of professional experience in VAT or income tax field in a comparable position (preferably in the automotive industry) or in a consulting company
• In-depth you have expertise in European (EU) VAT regulations
• You have a good understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes
• You have good knowledge in import and export business (freight, ship or air)
• You possess a sound knowledge of VAT law
• You are confident in the use of common MS Office programs as well as SAP
• Very good communication skills in German and English
• You think in a process and solution-oriented way and are characterized by a high level of coordination and problem-solving skills
