Your tasks:

  • Ensure all components are introduced to project schedule and Product Life Cycle (PLC) requirements
  • The Supplier Component Review which is the feasibility analysis by the Supplier of the Continental demands
  • The suppliers have to prove their capabilities to commit to the Timing plan, and to the Process Technology in order to produce the specified component at the requested quality target
  • Component Introduction: based on the previous ME and SCR, you are responsible to manage the key APQP milestones by verifying the consistence of the APQP elements, performing the Run at rate, defining the Safe Launch Concept, and report the Maturity Review status to the Project team at Gate reviews
  • APQP Management (Advanced Product Quality Planning) at category level (Red, Yellow, Green) in case of responsibility for component introduction incl. necessary risk mitigation measures
  • Component release: PSW responsibility to pronounce Supplier and Component Approvals both with Mechanical Design Engineer, to pull the process for Manufacturing and Application Approvals in CLMS
  • Secure implementation and compliance to IATF and VDA standards as well as the Maturity Evaluation with focus on risk identification
  • To support or perform and follow up for VDA6.3 maintenance audit to supplier, support new supplier introduction audit and to support cross function on supplier quality related issues

Your profile:

  • Academic Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or Sciences (or related)
  • Technical background with experience in plastic and die cast is a plus
  • Several years of professional experience in the area of Automotive
  • Experience demonstrated in SQE role & functions as well as in problem solving Methodology 8D
  • Applicable knowledge with PPAP , SPC, FMEA, CP, Flow Diagrams FAI, MSA, (GR&R)
  • Management of project launches via APQP as well as knowledge in IATF 16949 Management
  • Advanced English / German or French would be appreciated
