Your tasks:
- Prepares a variety of engineering deliverables (Basis of Design and Engineering narratives, preliminary code research, Conceptual Design, HVAC/Plb drawings including P&IDs, schematics, plans, technical specifications, contract drawings, construction cost estimates)
- Manages and audits design services performed by consultants including preparing RFP scope and independent cost estimate, negotiating cost, ensuring schedule/budget compliance
- Reviews shop drawings and submittals within schedule and resolves difficult field issues in a timely manner
- Delivers on-site surveys and inspections and drafts subsequent site reports
- Provides technical guidance to others regarding projects and disciplines
- Resolve design issues creatively and thoroughly
- Complete understanding and familiarity with calculating, sizing and selecting mechanical and hydraulic equipment, distribution and infrastructure (Heat Exchanger, Cooling Tower, Air Handling Units)
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides andstandards related to assigned engineering discipline
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a prestigious, accredited program
- 7+ years plus experience in designing Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems and some plumbing and fire protection design experience
- Hydraulic heating and cooling systems (minimum 25MW plants) including instrumentation for manufacturing tools
- Experience in design of dust collection systems, VOC abatement systems, Clean Rooms
- Professional Design Experience in a wide range of project types including: high tech/semiconductor, bio-tech/pharmaceutical, manufacturing R&D, industrial, mission critical/data centers, chiller plants, boiler plants
- Proficient in the use of various computer programs such as HVAC load calculations and pressure drop calculations, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit
- Proficient in technical German and English
