Your tasks:

• Responsibility for chassis design
• Design development and implementation of innovative chassis concepts (component, system and vehicle level) taking into account function, manufacturability, material selection (lightweight construction), costs, variety of parts, legal requirements
• Definition and optimization of space models, topology, construction as well as strength, dynamics and durability requirements of chassis components
• Close cooperation and coordination with simulation and testing teams
• Manage suppliers to deliver component designs on time and to specification
• Lead the chassis design of the chassis system and components from concept to production for current and future programs

Your profile:

• Master´s in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 8-10 years of experience at a major Tier 1 or at an OEM designing Chassis Systems and Components (Suspension, Brakes, Steering, Wheels and Tires)
• Catia V5
• Ability to understand Engineering direction and provide design concepts accordingly
• Collaborate with larger teams of peer designers, engineers, functional teams
• Strong communication skills, including written and verbal
• English is a must
• Intense technical curiosity, High energy and proactive attitude towards problems and challenges
