Your tasks:

  • Concept, develop, validate and integrate high-speed digital circuits on FPGAs using VHDL
  • Understand a high level description of algorithms and realize them in VHDL
  • Parallelize and Optimize C/C++ code so it can be converted to optimal VHDL code using High-Level Synthesizer
  • Design and implement interface circuits that communicate with different HW and SW components in an Embedded System
  • Write tcl scripts to automate and optimize synthesis, placement and routing operations
  • Prepare root-cause analysis to identify issues raised by testing or customer returns
  • Debug existing VHDL codes and run VHDL and system simulations
  • Perform measurements using high speed Oscilloscope and logic analyzer
  • One of your main tasks is documentation and testing as well as support of SW/HW development and test teams in HIL-specific HW issues

Your profile:

  • A university education (Bachelor / Master) degree in the field of Computer engineering, Computer science, embedded systems or equivalent
  • 2 – 3 years experience in VHDL / Verilog programming
  • Knowledge of modern embedded systems / available System on chips, including all on-chip communication protocols and Peripherals (AXI, I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, etc. )
  • C programming skills targeting FPGAs – Xilinx HLS development
  • Deep experience in the usage of high-speed oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
  • Knowledge of Xilinx development tools ( Vivado, SDK, HLS)
  • Knowledge of Xilinx Zynq SoC, System Verilog / SystemC and Matlab is a bonus
  • Knowledge of Automotive safety standards (ISO26262, etc.) is a bonus
  • Very good English in reading, writing and speaking together with good German communications skills
